We specialize in human embryonic kidney 293 (HEK293) and Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells. For mammalian transient transfection, HEK293 cells are frequently the ideal option due to their simplicity during transfection, high degree of protein production, and reliable process. CHO cells are excellent for developing therapeutic reagents or for constructing stable production lines in the future. Approximately 70% of all licensed biotherapeutic proteins are produced in stable transfected CHO cells.

If you need a small amount of protein at the milligram level, we recommend transiently transforming HEK293 cells using the pAZ-V5 system; if you need to construct a stable expression cell line, we recommend transiently transforming CHO cells using the pAZ-V5 system and then screening for highly expressed stable cell lines using G418.
