Biological Target Verification Service

Discovery and confirmation of drug targets are the bottleneck and core of new drug discovery. Our company's target verification platform is designed to provide strong R&D support for customers to identify and verify the correlation between known or new targets and specific diseases, enabling customers to make decisions to continue or stop projects as soon as possible, thereby effectively reducing customer's investment risk for drug R&D projects.

Service Overview

Biological Target Verification Service

The process of identifying possible targets for therapeutic medications for a particular disease or condition for which there is no treatment or for which existing therapeutic drugs fall short in some way is known as target discovery, also known as target identification and validation. Targets may therefore be known, putative, or novel.

Our cutting-edge platform enables target deconvolution following phenotypic screening and promotes the identification and validation of novel disease-modifying targets across several treatment domains. The target verification platform is one of Our company's main lines of business. Over the years, it has provided customers with R&D technical support in the fields of tumors, metabolic diseases, translational medicine, and pharmacogenomics, and has verified more than 50 potential drug targets for customer projects.

Our capabilities to verify targets include:

  • An ex vivo imaging technology platform for studying cellular and molecular events using tissue slices
  • Simulating phenotypic screening of diseases using complex cellular models
  • Conduct in vitro and in vivo gene knockout, knockout, and overexpression studies using relevant disease models
  • Dedicated transcriptomic and proteomic analysis across cells and tissues, followed by bioinformatics-driven data mining and hypothesis building
  • Targeted deconvolution expertise using methods such as chemical biology, transcriptomics, metabolomics, and cell painting

Research Capabilities

  • Gene Cloning and Stable Transfection

We use a range of expression systems, including liposomes and lentiviral vectors, to transfect wild-type or mutated genes (such as sustained expression or kinase activity loss mutations) to achieve sustained or inducible high-level expression. After the recombinant cell line is stably expressed, the effect of gene overexpression on the downstream can be observed through in vivo and in vitro experiments.

  • Target Protein Knockdown and Overexpression

Our company uses a series of experiments including Western Blot analysis, flow cytometry analysis, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence analysis to verify the knockdown or overexpression of the target protein.

  • Target Verification in vitro and in vivo

Thanks to our well-validated cell line-derived allograft models and patient tumor samples, we can correlate in vitro preclinical experiments with in vivo data and translate results into clinical patient outcomes.
