The epithelium of the skin is the primary site of human exposure to a variety of substances, whether accidental or intentional, and these surface epithelial tissues are completely exposed to the undiluted chemical or agent and thus directly affected by its full range of active ingredients.
Acute exposure of the skin to dry corrosive or irritating chemicals usually results in edema, erythema or apparent necrosis at the site of direct exposure. Our company is qualified to perform acute skin irritation and corrosiveness tests on a wide variety of samples and to issue professional and detailed skin irritation test reports.

Test Purpose
- To assess the toxicity of the test substance and to provide a basis for grading the degree of local irritation or corrosion of the skin of mammals.
- To determine whether the test substance has a local irritant or corrosive effect on the skin of mammals.
- To provide a basis for the selection of doses for other toxicological tests.
- To facilitate the management of labeling.
Test Range
Creams, toners, drugs, masks, cosmetics, pesticides, chemicals, ointments, cleansers, wipes, fabrics, soaps, aloe vera gel, etc.
About Skin Irritation and Corrosiveness Test Service
Test Method
Before the test, Our company removed the hair from both sides of the spine of the back of the test animal. The test sample was applied to one side of the skin of the test animal at a time, and the degree of local irritation of the skin of the animal was observed for a specified time interval, and the irritation effect of the test substance on the skin was evaluated in this way.
The other side of the skin is used as a control and is treated the same as the test animal except that the test substance is not added. The observation period should be sufficient to evaluate the reversibility or irreversibility of the effect.
Subjects
- Liquid samples generally do not require dilution and are used directly as stock solutions.
- Solid samples are generally ground to a fine powder and well-moistened with water or other non-irritating solvents.
Test Animals
Our company prefers healthy, adult, white rabbits of 2.0-3.0 kg body weight with no skin abnormalities or damage.

Observation Index
Skin reactions at the application site were observed at 1 h, 24 h, 48 h, and 72 h after removal of the test substance, usually no more than 14 days.
Skin Irritation and Corrosiveness Test Report
The final test report we provide includes the following.
- Date of sample acceptance and sealing.
- Test start and end dates, the person in charge of the test project, the technical person in charge of the test unit.
- Test summary.
- Sample name, the active ingredient, purity, dosage form, physical and chemical properties, and preparation method.
